Day 1
Arusha Town
All your international inbound flights should be booked to arrive in Kenya – Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport irrespective of the time and the airline. After clearing with customs, immigration and confirming you have collected all your luggage, please proceed outside the building to the paging area where you will find our Safari/Airport representative holding a pager with the DK Grand Safaris logo and your surname/Group name printed below the logo. After a warm introduction to each other with a Hug, you will be assisted with your luggage and taken to the vehicle. You will proceed to your city hotel for check-in and overnight. The Boma Hotel is a lovely hotel close to the airport and next door to the International Red Cross Headquarters....

Day 2
Tarangire National Park
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and set off on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, located approximately 120 km southwest of Arusha. This stunning park, named after the iconic Tarangire River, spans about 2,850 square kilometers (1,100 square miles) and features a diverse landscape that includes Acacia woodlands, granitic ridges, river valleys, and expansive swamps, all punctuated by the striking silhouettes of towering African Baobab trees.
During the dry season, the river and swamps serve as vital lifelines for wildlife, drawing animals from far and wide in search of water. The name “Tarangire” beautifully merges “Tara,” a Mbugwe word meaning “river,” with “Ngire,” a Hadzabe term for “warthog,” effectively translating to “river of warthogs” and reflecting the park’s remarkable biodiversity.

Day 3
Tarangire National Park
The following day promises to be the highlight of your adventure as you embark on an exhilarating exploration of Tarangire National Park, navigating its diverse terrains, from lush Acacia woodlands to expansive seasonal swamps. The dry season, spanning from June to October, is the ideal time to visit, as the park bursts into life with the long-distance migrations of zebras and wildebeest. These magnificent herds journey towards the permanent water sources of the Tarangire River and the verdant swamps, creating a breathtaking spectacle of nature.

Lake Manyara National Park/ngorongoro Crater
After a delightful breakfast, you will check out and set off for Ngorongoro Crater, making a memorable stop at Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing and for a scenic picnic lunch along the way. Covering approximately 330 square kilometers (125 square miles), including a lake surface area of 230 square kilometers (89 square miles), Lake Manyara National Park has been famously described by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa.”
The park is renowned for its extraordinary tree-climbing lions, which are often seen lounging on branches, as well as its vibrant populations of flamingos that create stunning pink spectacles on the lake’s surface. Serengeti National Park
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, check out and embark on your journey to Serengeti National Park. You’ll experience a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, taking in breathtaking views as you pass vibrant Maasai villages. Here, you can observe the locals grazing their cattle on the slopes of the Ngorongoro escarpment. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, with opportunities for game viewing until reaching Naabi Hills. This spot offers convenient facilities, including parking, restrooms, and a picnic lunch area.
Following a leisurely lunch, the official game viewing begins. You’ll set off to explore the vast savannah grasslands in search of the Serengeti’s abundant wildlife.
