After breakfast, you will be picked up from your Nairobi city hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your journey to Tsavo West National Park. You’ll travel by road or train along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway, passing through several towns, including Konza Technopolis City—often referred to as the African Silicon Valley. This innovative area is designed as a “smart” city and serves as a hub for technology and knowledge.
Tsavo West National Park is renowned for its iconic red-skinned elephants and a diverse array of endangered wildlife, including the lesser kudu, fringe-eared oryx, wild dogs, and leopards.
With over 500 bird species, it’s also a paradise for birdwatchers. Known as the “Land of Lava,” this park boasts fascinating geological features and is steeped in history, famously linked to the “Man-eaters of Tsavo,” who captured global attention....
The park’s enchanting natural springs and magical sunsets further enhance its allure.
Upon arrival at your lodge/camp, you will check in and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the breathtaking landscape, where you’ll search for the park’s famous red elephants, kudus, zebras, gazelles, lions etc, and explore its volcanic features.
After your game drive, return to the lodge/camp viewing deck, where a permanent waterhole attracts various animals for a refreshing drink and a relaxing mud bath. Here, you can unwind with cocktails or dinner while observing the wildlife in their natural habitat—a perfect way to conclude your first day in this stunning part of Kenya.

Day 2
Amboseli National Park
After a delightful breakfast at the lodge/camp, you will embark on a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park, a region celebrated for its magnificent herds of elephants. Much of this recognition is attributed to Dr. Cynthia Moss, an American wildlife researcher who relocated to Africa in 1968. Dr. Moss has dedicated her career to studying the Amboseli elephants, focusing on their distribution, demographics, social structures, and behaviors.
The name “Amboseli” derives from a Maasai term meaning “salty dust,” which aptly describes the park’s unique landscape....
Here, you’ll encounter a rich tapestry of ecosystems, from open plains and acacia woodlands to rocky thorn bushes and lush marshes. This variety is sustained by an extensive underground water supply, filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro’s ice cap, ensuring the survival of diverse wildlife.
Spanning an impressive 392 km² (151 sq. miles), Amboseli extends up to the Kenya-Tanzania border. In 1974, it was officially designated as a National Park to safeguard this vital ecosystem, and in 1991, it was recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Historically, this land was inhabited by the Maasai people, who coexisted with their cattle before being relocated.
Upon your arrival at the lodge/camp, which boasts a prime location for optimal wildlife viewing, you’ll have time to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, an exciting game drive awaits, offering you the chance to observe the incredible wildlife that calls Amboseli home.

Day 3
Amboseli National Park
The next day promises to be a highlight as you explore the diverse terrains of Amboseli National Park. From seasonal lakes and marshlands to open plains, lava-strewn thorn bushes, and acacia woodlands, the park offers a variety of stunning landscapes. Your private, professional Driver/Guide will expertly position the safari jeep to capture those perfect “National Geographic” moments.
Your adventure will also include a visit to a local Maasai village, where you will experience the rich cultural heritage of Kenya’s nomadic and warrior-like people, who have preserved their traditional ways of life despite modern pressures. The guided village tour will be led by the chief’s son, who will provide insights into village life, show you his mother’s house, and introduce you to the village medicine man....
You may even receive a traditional remedy, often prepared from roots and used for various purposes, including dental hygiene, malaria treatment, wound care, and remedies for venomous bites, fever, libido, and gastrointestinal disorders.
You will also witness a demonstration of traditional fire-making techniques using two sticks. The tour will conclude with a visit to the village “market,” where you can browse handmade crafts (purchasing is optional). The day’s activities will continue with an afternoon game drive, offering further opportunities to explore the park’s wildlife and scenery.
