Day 1

Nairobi City

Welcome to Kenya, you will be met upon arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our safari representative. Thereafter you will be transferred to your city hotel irrespective of the airline and time of arrival.

 

2 Days Lake Nakuru Safari 1 Overnight at The Boma Hotel or Similar.

Day 2

Nairobi City Tour

After breakfast and safari de-brief done by our concierge team, you will depart for the city tour which includes a visit to David Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage, You will learn how they rescue orphaned baby elephants and how they release them back to the wild, the Giraffe Centre where visitors enjoy feeding Rothschild giraffes from a raised observation platform and finally visit to Karen Blixen Museum which was once the centerpiece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong hills owned by Danish author Karen and her Swedish husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. Lunch will be served at a city restaurant. After lunch, you will be transferred back to your city hotel for an afternoon at leisure enjoying the hotel amenities, siesta to recover from the jetlag or you can proceed to Brilliant Beauty College which is partially supported by DK Grand Safaris for students from the poor villages. The college provides quality training in beauty to the underprivileged youth in the society. The students love to offer free manicure, pedicure, weaving etc. to our travelers and visiting them gives them an opportunity to interact with you and this help nature their ego.

 

2 Days Lake Nakuru Safari 1 Overnight at The Boma Hotel or Similar.

Day 3 & 4

Amboseli National Park

After breakfast at the city hotel, you will check out and in case you have any excess luggage, it will be stored at the hotel store room. You will then depart by road to Amboseli National Park which is famous for its large herd of free-ranging elephant’s families. Amboseli has a mixed topography of acacia trees, plains, swampy marshes, and rocky thorn bushes. This diversity, along with a long dry season, ensures excellent game viewing of the large concentrations of African animals living in their natural habitat. You will arrive at the lodge which is strategically located in time for lunch. An afternoon game viewing has been scheduled for you at 16:00 hrs.

Spend the next full day at Amboseli National Park. Breakfast will be served at the lodge, thereafter depart for morning game viewing. The park’s tranquil beauty allows fabulous wildlife viewing, photography and easily approachable wildlife which include big families of elephants, lions, impalas, giraffes, gazelles etc. An optional complimentary visit to Maasai Cultural village is included, that will reveal the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals.A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a memorable experience. They live in close harmony with the environment and the wild animals. All meals will be served at the lodge.

 

2 Days Lake Nakuru Safari 1 Overnight at Oltukai Lodge or Similar

Day 5 & 6

Samburu Game Reserve

After breakfast you will be transferred to Amboseli Airstrip to connect morning schedule flight to Samburu Game Reserve via Nairobi (Wilson Airport). The reserve has retained its natural serene and quiet feeling. Besides the numerous wildlife found in this game reserve and over 350 different species of birds have been recorded in the park. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch which is strategically located overlooking the Uaso Nyiro River which cuts through the reserve, drawing a big population of Kenya animals to the park. The river bustles with activity from its huge population of Nile crocodile. Enjoy an afternoon game viewing in the reserve which is famous for its rare species of fauna known as the ‘Samburu five’ and vast, open landscapes.

Spend this full day at Samburu Game Reserve. Morning and afternoon game viewing searching for the ‘Samburu five’ which includes the long-necked gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, the Beisaoryx and the Somali ostrich among other wildlife and birds. An optional complimentary cultural village tour to Samburu village is offered, they are neighbors to the game reserve and most famous for their remote culture, pastoral and nomadic way of life. You will have an opportunity to purchase some traditional Samburu souvenirs, art, and collectibles.

Day 7 & 8

Mount Kenya

Depart after breakfast by road to the famous Mount Kenya Safari Club. The Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club Resort is strategically located along the equator line with a magnificent view of majestic Mount Kenya, the second-highest mountain in Africa. The club was a retreat for movie stars and club founder Mr. William Holden. The club’s former and frequent members included; Winston Churchill, Ernest Hemmingway, Bing Crosby, Charlie Chaplin, John Travolta, Steve McQueen, and Conrad Hilton, to name but a few. You will arrive at the club in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure, encompass with comfort, relaxation, and adventure of the club. There are several Optional recreation activities available within the club, they include; horseback riding, playing golf across the equator, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, body treatment, nature walks, mountain bike rides and a visit to the animal orphanage.

Breakfast will be served at the Club’s main restaurant, thereafter depart for a half-day trip excursion to Ol-Pejeta Conservancy. It is the only place in the world where you can find two of the world remaining Northern White Rhino’s, The only place in Kenya to find chimpanzees, in the sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market by Dr. Jane Goodall. Later you will drive back to Mount Kenya Safari Club for lunch. Afternoon will be at leisure, enjoying the club’s amenities.

Day 9,10 & 11

Masai Mara Game Reserve

After continental breakfast, you will be transferred to Nanyuki Airstrip to connect morning scheduled flight to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve; it’s one of the great wonders of the world in terms of animal migrations, As per ABC news “Good Morning America’s show”. It’s also considered as a “must see” by almost all visitors going on safari. It is on the “to do” list for many because the park is graced by a wide variety of unique and exquisite wildlife and birds. Game viewing will start upon landing at the airstrip en-route to the camp followed by lunch. You will have some time to relax by the solar heated pool before you depart for an afternoon game viewing in the reserve.

The next day, morning and afternoon game viewing has been scheduled for you or you can decide to book an Optional balloon ride over the plains of the Masai Mara which takes you over the diverse habitats of the Masai Mara reserve; fly over the great Mara River, swamps, forests, wildlife & the African Savannah. The quiet, relaxing ride allows you to view an amazing assortment of wildlife from a unique bird’s-eye view. Surprise bush champagne breakfast is served upon landing. Thereafter, you will decide on either to proceed on a game viewing adventure or return back to the lodge/camp.

 

2 Days Lake Nakuru Safari 1 Overnight at Karen Blixen Tented Camp or Similar

Day 12

Depart for Nairobi

You will be served with your final leisurely breakfast at the camp, check out and transferred to Mara airstrip game viewing en-route for the morning scheduled flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport – Nairobi, you will be met by our concierge team who has reserved farewell meals for you in a city restaurant depending on your outbound departure time. A day room for final refreshment has been reserved for you until 06:00 pm. Later you will be transferred to Jomo kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight back home.
